The biannual international safety conference International Technical Conference on Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV) takes place in Gothenburg in June 8-11 2015. ESV2015 is hosted by Swedish Transport Administration and SAFER Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre. Several researchers at SAFER are presenting scientific papers at the conference.
SAFER Insight is expanding its course offerings by welcoming Michigan Engineering and Integrative Systems + Design, as a new partner to the portal. The web portal SAFER Insight has been active for some months and has an increasingly number of visitors. “SAFER has research collaboration agreements with a number of international organizations. We are now inviting all of them to join the training portal. Our intention is to grow by including the course offerings of the SAFER partner research network”, says Anna Nilsson-Ehle, director of SAFER.

SAFER is one of the exhibitors and will promote SAFER Insight and its courses and seminars. Several researchers at SAFER are presenting scientific papers at the conference.
Ten training providers are offering 29 courses. And this is only the beginning. The web portal SAFER Insight is now being launched - collecting courses in vehicle and traffic safety all under one roof. “For quite some time, there has been an idea of complementing SAFER's operations with a training portal. It's great that we've finally been able to carry through with the idea”, says Anna Nilsson-Ehle, director of SAFER.
The successful conference on driver distraction and inattention (DDI) will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, on September 4-6, 2013. The conference, which is hosted by SAFER and UNSW, will attract world leading researchers and practitioners in the field.
SAFER arranges a forth evening seminar in a series together with The National Society for Road Safety (NTF Väst). The seminar is given on November 7, 2013, at 18:00, and is focused on cycling – a hot topic in Sweden and the world. The target audience is the public.
